About The Role Design, develop and maintain enterprise e-commerce applications using the products of Oracle Commerce suite (Oracle ATG Commerce & Oracle Endeca Commerce). To work with other technical team members in house and vendors to make sure the platform will be future proof and support the business needs for future brand/country expansion plans.

To work with the solution's blue print provided, design the technical specifications, be part of the core development and the code review process. Translate business needs into effective technical solutions using several core technologies. To properly map the business requirements to the product capabilities (Oracle ATG Commerce & Oracle Endeca Commerce) and layout the extensions wherever possible or to develop the bespoke components

What You'll Be Doing

Design & Develop technical solutions that cater to the business needs using Oracle Commerce product suite. Map the business requirements to the product capabilities of both Oracle ATG Commerce & Oracle Endeca Commerce. Design scalable solutions that are suited in the enterprise architecture. Identify the performance bottlenecks by monitoring the application and provide technical solutions. Be part of the core development team and also review the delivered code to make sure it adheres to the best practices. Enable the business units by supplying a rapidly deliverable solution architecture. Understand the capabilities of the team and engage where necessary to promote lead practice and learning. Deliver and/or guide the design of the infrastructure. Responsible for the quality of the deliverables of the project against requirements and promoted lead practices. Help recruit and interview new team members. Deliver fit / gap analysis between requirements and OOTB features. Gap analysis should detail any level of customization required. Manage Work with customers on the technical implementation and customization of Oracle Commerce. Provide product technical advice and insight to customers and prospects. Partner with project teams to clarify requirements, initiate solutions and develop deliverable software in the iterations of Scrum. Build internal confidence and ensure team success with solid technical skills and knowledge, hands-on implementation capabilities, can-do attitude, excellent communication skills, reliability and commitment to delivering quality. Build a reusable framework which will expedite launching of new brands on the same platform. Stay up to date with new technologies (internal capabilities, and vendor offerings) by evaluating industry and design trends and demonstrate a passion for learning. Participate in and champion design thinking among the Global Business Division. Work closely with development teams to ensure that design specifications are implemented. Coordinate with outside vendors and brands to ensure their work is delivered on time and on scope. Team Work Promote a culture of innovation and teamwork. Mentor and coach other colleagues in best practices and lead projects. Inspire the team to reach higher results with proper thought leadership. Participate as a contributor to an interdisciplinary team that includes designers, project management, business and digital commerce owners, testers and developers. People Development Manage backend team including hiring, on-boarding, and professional development. Provide leadership and direction to subordinates towards the achievement of satisfying career goals and objectives. Guide and motivate subordinates to enhance performance and produce quality work, and ensure that they are continuously developed for higher level roles. Mentor team members (developers) to acquire your knowledge whilst growing into a more senior role. Includes employee evaluation, teambuilding, employee counselling and/or discipline, and approving any recommendations for hiring (digital designers but not limited to), termination, pay changes, job changes, and training. Prepare performance evaluation and appraisal reports of direct reports to assess subordinates productivity and progress and identify training needs of team members to improve efficiency and ensure conformity with standard procedures and practices. About You

Education Computer Science or Engineering background or equivalent experience in writing enterprise software products. Experience 6+ years of experience in installation, design and implementation of Oracle Commerce (formerly ATG and Endeca Guided Search /Experience Manager products) 4+ years of J2EE and relational database (preferable Oracle) experience 3+ years of eCommerce/ Omnichannel experience Experience with managing teams Onshore/offshore specification/documentation style, agile and hybrid implementation methodologies with the different organization structures around them. Experience with UNIX/Linux command line and shell scripting

Functional Skills Have an experience on ATG/J2EEs development and enhancement, customization of the ATG Data Anywhere Architecture, Dynamo Application Framework, ATG Merchandising (BCC) eCommerce API, Endeca Experience Manager, Endeca Guided Search, security sub-system, data synchronization, web services, messaging sub-systems. Have an experience on REST APIs (preferably Stateless) and exposing data repositories via API's on Oracle Commerce. Have an experience on headless / abstract architectures in terms of back-end and front-end communication. "Web-speed" development (weekly releases) and are comfortable delivering with tight deadlines and short release cycles. Good knowledge of open source technologies Linux, Apache, Java, Python, Go, etc. Good knowledge of Front-end (JS, HTML5, CSS) and back-end (J2EEs, JSP, .NET, PHP etc.) teams / technologies. Working experience on Full stack web technologies or frameworks like Node.js, Meteor. Good knowledge of Hybrid / native mobile development technologies. Agile development methodology and continuous integration. The log monitoring/performance monitoring tools. DevOps experience. Maturity model of Hypermedia and RESTful services knowledge.
