Job description

This role will be responsible for forecasting, planning, and implementing strategies to achieve or exceed sales goals and maximize the profitability of our Franchise stores. In addition, you'll be responsible for buying a balanced product assortment to help showcase the adidas brand and direction.

  • Responsible for all aspects of merchandising within the adidas Franchise stores.
  • Support the implementation of key strategic priorities in line with the company direction and the market merchandising framework, across all Franchise doors.
  • Plan, manage, and monitor the seasonal open-to-buy to reflect sales trends and adjust buys accordingly.
  • To ensure sufficient stock levels, use pre-season and in-season planning and projections throughout the year.
  • Proactively provide relevant in-depth analysis to support buying commitment decisions.
  • Provide fact-based product input and feedback for internal/external stakeholders.
  • Drive seasonal range in collaboration with Franchise Partners. Provide the historical analysis to effectively support and build the range/assortment plan.
  • Analyze every aspect of best sellers and worst sellers, in-season stock cover management, and in-season reactivity and provide recommendations based on analysis.
  • Action on the optimal flow of merchandise incl. fulfillment of product/marketing introduction deadlines/capacity planning.
  • Specialize in merchandising systems and tools and eager to learn new systems to ensure smooth business operations.
  • Travel to visit stores as needed and advised by the business.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities needed:

  • Excellent command of English and strong communication skills
  • University degree in Marketing/Business/Sales focus/Economics
  • Advanced Excel knowledge, and intermediate experience in ERPs and PowerBI
  • Understanding of relevant retail management and back office systems
  • Proven experience in external and internal stakeholder management
  • Ability to translate analytical-based solutions into business presentations
  • 3-4 years of merchandising experience (preferably with external partners)
